0.1 Introduction
Team building is part of a psychological discipline called organisational psychology. It inspires groups of workers tocommunicate through a series of planned events that are fun & motivational. It is an ongoing process that helps a workgroup evolve into a cohesive unit. The team members not only share expectations for accomplishing group tasks, but trust, support and respect one another. A team takes on a life of its own and we have to regularly nurture and maintain it, just as we do for individual life. Such activities should bolster the work employees and colleagues complete together, or provide a genuine opportunity to relax and unwind. With good team-building skills, we can unite colleagues around a common goal and generate greater productivity. Without them, a person limit thyself and the staff to the effort each individual can make alone. It helps the creation of new relationships between people in the workplace and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction is an important part of a person’s employment. Feeling worthwhile, worthy, part of a team & having a sense of achievement within the working environment are essential elements to happiness. These feelings can motivate a workforce & ensure they are at their most productive, & in turn, this attitude will motivate their colleagues. Working on the premise that happy staff are productive staff,companies often find that team-building events positively affect the productivity of individuals, groups & the institute as a whole. And it begins with a toast for harmony and sharing variety of delicious dishes together.
 
I feel myself a lucky person because our research centre arranged a two-day "Team-Building Activity" at Huairou and trust me, it brought me full of zeal and enthusiasm to work more efficiently. Its not only mine but all of our colleague’s feelings that I am sharing with you.
0.2 Significance
Research after research has shown how team building and specially planned activities contribute far more to the harmony, productivity and morale of colleagues and to the success of a institution.Most offices contain allegiances between certain groups of workmates & divisions are often clear between these groups.Team building helps break down these barriers by creating a forced interaction between the establishedgroups & creates opportunities for networks & friendships to develop. Team building benefits the team as a whole. When people who rarely work together are forced to communicate, they can discover that they enjoy the interaction & continue to network & bond with different people back at the office. Those who previously may not have been getting along will have to forget their differences in order to overcome an obstacle & their dislike is be diminished as the work together for a common goal. Because teamwork is so critical to an institutional success, team-building activities are vital.
0.2.1 Build Trust Cooperation and Increase Productivity
Team building activity can help to develop trust among colleagues. Trust is a critical component to research,especially when teamwork is required on a daily basis to achieve objectives of a project. Mutual trust fostered by team-building activities can allow the colleagues to depend more on one another and be more productive and efficient as a result. Such activities can establish a stronger bond between coworkers who might blame one another when problems arise within centre. This bond can help in increasing cooperation among colleagues instead of competition during daily activities. They become more effective and efficient in accomplishing tasks at the office. It has been proven over and over again that a team of highly motivated people brings better results than a one-man show. For example, "Real Men Counter Strike" that can build trust and requires them to cooperate among group mates to defeat their enemy as soon as possible.
 
0.2.2 Effective Communication
Through team-building activities, colleagues can learn how to better communicate with one another because they probably will be faced with activities that need to be solved as a group. For example, in "Real Men Counter Strike" group mates has to communicate well to beat the battle at any cost. This type of communication practice can translate into more productive and efficient daily work and allow colleagues to function better as an overall team.
0.2.3 Ease Conflicts
Depending on the varied personalities of colleagues, unnecessary conflicts and disputes might arise. Team buildingactivities can play an important role in easing conflicts between coworkers by allowing lab mates to bond with oneanother and become more accustomed to each others’ personalities. Team-building activities that allow coworkersto get to know one another on a personal level to ease conflicts.
0.2.4 Develop Problem Solving Skills
The activities for team building will help colleagues develop their problem solving skills that can be easily transferred into the workplace. Team members work together to identify the problems they have to solve and pitch in to provide alternative solutions and evaluate the pros and cons of each solution. They must then decide to take on one solution or put together the best aspects of various proposed solutions and use it to work towards their goal such as a game "San Guo Sha". Where members of a team ’King Protector’ should defend king from his enemies, ’Thieves and Spy’. Similarly an another game named "Finding Killer", where a team of ’Policemen’ should identify ’Killers’ by giving strong and valid arguments that satisfy ’General Public’ of the game.
 
0.2.5 Develop Interpersonal Skill
Team building, whether it includes a five-minute office activity or a full-weekend retreat to the beach, forces colleagues to interact with people they never get the chance to work with at the office. If you ask them to work on a given task in which not one of them has had any experience, they will be working on an equal playing field where no one is better and will be compelled to find ways to work with one another to solve the problem. Chinese poker "Ma jiang" and "Wei Qi" is perfectly suitable for such activity. Because is those game only one is winner and s/he has to apply a lot of tricks to win the match at any cost. Which force a person to think in several ways and is really a brain storming task.t can build trust and requires them to cooperate among group mates to defeat their enemy as soon as possible.
 
0.3 Conclusion
Colleagues are the assets of every institutions and its success is directly proportional to the hard work every personnel puts in. Individuals must work in a little different and smarter way than the others and always feel motivated to give their best. Effort by a single team member goes unnoticed and every team member should contribute equally. Individuals must be aware what his fellow team members are working on and what he is supposed to do. One does not gain anything out of unnecessary conflicts. I can’t afford to fight with my colleague who sits next to me probably for 7-8 hours, five days a week. We are not machines or battery operated devices, we are human beings and we need people to talk to and discuss various things. One cannot implement things on his own, he needs individuals who can work as critics and evaluate the pros and cons of his concepts. Team Building activities bring colleagues closer and one feels happy to go to work daily. Individuals start enjoying their work and feel fresh the entire day.
